Santa Isabel
Chile 1,4 MW
About the project
The “Central Hidroeléctrica de Santa Isabel” project aims to leverage the hydroelectric use of the waters flowing through the Rarinco-Quilque channel, in a section that presents an optimal slope. The plant is of a flowing or passing type and is dimensioned for a flow of 9.0 sqm/s, with an installed power of 1.4 MW and a plant factor of 79%. It has a work of derivation on the canal Rarinco-Quilque proper, which offers the necessary control systems to allow the continuous flow in case the plant stopes working. From this work comes out a forced pipeline DN 2200 and 723 m long.
